Polymarket is the world’s largest prediction market platform, where you can trade on the outcomes of real-world events — from elections and economics to sports and culture. The best part? Signing up takes less than 2 minutes, and no identity verification (KYC) is required.
This guide walks you through every step of creating your Polymarket account, with all three signup methods explained.
Before You Start
You’ll need just one of the following:
- A Google account (fastest method)
- An email address (any provider)
- A crypto wallet such as MetaMask, Rabby, or Phantom
That’s it. No ID, no selfie, no waiting period.
Note: Polymarket is available in most countries but is blocked in some regions. If you can’t load the website, check your country’s access status first.
Method 1: Sign Up with Google (Recommended)
This is the fastest way to get started — perfect for beginners.
Step 1. Go to Polymarket and click Sign Up.
Step 2. Select Continue with Google.
Step 3. Connect your Google account by signing in and granting permissions.
Step 4. Complete the signup process.
You’re in. You can now log in anytime using your Google account.
Method 2: Sign Up with Email
Prefer not to use Google? Email signup is just as simple.
Step 1. Go to Polymarket and click Sign Up.
Step 2. Enter your email address and click Continue.
Step 3. Check your email for a 6-digit verification code and enter it.
Step 4. You’re signed up.
You can now log in using your email and a fresh 6-digit code each time.
Security Warning: Never share your 6-digit login code with anyone — not even someone claiming to be Polymarket staff. If someone gains access to your code, they can access your account and funds. Polymarket support cannot recover lost funds caused by shared codes.
Method 3: Sign Up with Crypto Wallet
If you’re already in crypto, you can connect your existing wallet for a seamless experience.
Step 1. Go to Polymarket and click Sign Up.
Step 2. Connect your crypto wallet (MetaMask, Rabby, Phantom, or another supported wallet).
Step 3. Sign a message to connect your wallet to Polymarket.
Step 4. Sign another message to enable trading.
Step 5. You’re signed up.
You can now log in anytime by connecting your wallet.
Which Signup Method Should You Choose?
| Method | Best For | Speed | Requirements |
|---|---|---|---|
| Beginners, fastest setup | ~30 seconds | Google account | |
| Users who prefer email-based login | ~1 minute | Any email address | |
| Crypto Wallet | Experienced crypto users | ~1 minute | MetaMask, Rabby, Phantom, etc. |
Our recommendation: If you’re new to prediction markets, sign up with Google. It’s the fastest option and you can always connect a crypto wallet later.
Can’t Access Polymarket?
Polymarket is available in most countries, but users in certain regions may find the website completely blocked — the page won’t even load. This is due to IP-based geographic restrictions that Polymarket applies to comply with local regulations.
If you’re unable to access polymarket.com:
- Check your country’s status — Visit our Polymarket country availability guide to see whether Polymarket is accessible, restricted, or blocked in your location.
- Understand why — Blocks are typically due to national regulatory decisions or international sanctions. The restrictions are based solely on your IP address at the time of access.
- Explore your options — Many users in restricted regions access international platforms by routing their internet connection through a different location. This is a common practice for accessing global financial and information services.
For the full list of blocked and restricted countries, see our complete country guide.
