Bet on this market on PolymarketThe table above shows the live odds from Polymarket’s 2026-27 NBA Rookie of the Year market. Each price is what traders are paying for a share that pays $1 if that player wins the award.
How to Read the Odds
A price is a probability. 30¢ means a 30% chance, American odds of +233, decimal 3.33 or fractional 7/3. The table converts every price.
The Buy now column shows the decimal odds you’d get buying this second, at the best offer and after any taker fee. Award markets have wider spreads than the title market, so on players outside the top few the gap can be large. That’s the signal to post a limit order and let the price come to you.
Why ROY Odds Move So Much
Rookie of the Year is usually decided by a few things that change quickly in the first months: who starts, who gets the minutes and the shots, and which player’s team gives him the ball. A rookie who moves into the starting five can double in price in a week. One who gets hurt or loses his role can halve.
That makes this market good for trading, not just for holding to the end. If you back a rookie early and his price rises, you can sell any time at the new price. With a sportsbook, you’re stuck with the bet or its cash-out offer, which usually sits well below fair value.
Polymarket vs Sportsbook Award Odds
In my experience, sportsbook futures markets carry a margin of about 10% to 20%, far more than a single game. Polymarket’s prices add up to roughly 100%, with a small taker fee charged only when you buy at the offer. The no-vig calculator shows what your sportsbook is charging.
Sportsbooks also limit accounts that keep winning. Polymarket doesn’t limit winners: it isn’t the other side of your bet.
How the Market Settles
The market settles on the player who wins the 2026-27 Rookie of the Year award, using official NBA information. If the award is tied, it follows the NBA’s official winner; if several winners are announced, it settles on the listed last name that comes first alphabetically. If the season is cancelled or no winner is declared by 30 April 2027, it settles to “Other”.
