The table above shows the live Stanley Cup odds from Polymarket’s 2027 NHL champion market. Each price is what traders are paying for a share that pays $1 if that team wins the 2026-27 Stanley Cup.

How to Read the Odds

A price is a probability: 10¢ is a 10% chance, American odds of +900, decimal 10.00 or fractional 9/1. The table converts every team.

The Buy now column is the decimal odds you’d get buying this second, at the best offer and after the taker fee. This market is smaller than the NBA or NFL title markets, so spreads are wider, especially on teams outside the top ten. Post a limit order at the price you want rather than buying at the offer.

Why Hockey Futures Are So Spread Out

The Stanley Cup is the hardest major championship to call. Sixteen teams make the playoffs, every round is a best-of-seven, and a hot goalie can carry an average team a long way. That’s why no team trades at a short price in October, and why the order of the table changes so often.

It’s also why the ability to sell any time matters here. You can back a team before the season, sell some shares after a strong first half, and keep the rest for the playoffs. A sportsbook gives you one exit, its cash-out offer, which usually sits well below the bet’s fair value.

Polymarket vs Sportsbook Futures

In my experience sportsbook futures markets carry a margin of about 10% to 20%, much more than on a single game. With 32 teams the margin is easy to miss, but the no-vig calculator shows it. Polymarket’s prices add up to roughly 100%, and Polymarket doesn’t limit accounts for winning, because it isn’t the other side of your bet.

Betting on the NHL from Canada

Polymarket is open in every Canadian province and territory except Ontario. See Polymarket in Canada for the province-by-province status and how to deposit with Interac. NHL games are listed too, including in-play.

How the Market Settles

Each team has its own Yes/No market. It settles Yes for the team that wins the 2026-27 NHL championship and No for the rest, using official NHL information. A team’s shares settle at $0 once it’s eliminated. If the season is cancelled or no champion is declared by 30 June 2027, the market settles to “Other”.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is the favourite to win the 2027 Stanley Cup?
The team at the top of the table above is the current favourite on Polymarket. Hockey futures are the most spread out of the major leagues: even the favourite is rarely above 15%, because the playoffs are so hard to predict.
Are Polymarket's Stanley Cup odds better than a sportsbook's?
Usually, yes. Sportsbook futures carry a margin of about 10% to 20%, so the implied chances of every team add up to well over 100%. Polymarket's prices add up to roughly 100%, with a small taker fee charged only when you buy at the offer.
Can Canadians bet on the Stanley Cup on Polymarket?
Yes, in every province and territory except Ontario, which Polymarket blocks. See our Canada page for how to sign up and deposit with Interac.
How does the Stanley Cup market settle?
Each team has a Yes/No market that settles Yes if that team wins the 2026-27 NHL championship, using official NHL information. A team's shares settle at $0 once it's eliminated. If no champion is declared by 30 June 2027, the market settles to Other.
